Crowd Crush Prevention Network
The Crowd Crush Prevention Network is a fictitious organization focused on educating people attending large gatherings and concerts that also provides tips to venues hosting large events to decrease injury and death to attendees. The CCPN was created as a response to the Astroworld tragedy in 2021. Statistics based on previous crushes and what point a crowd becomes dangerous is provided.

For this project, I was in charge of most of the copy, imagery, and overall aesthetic of the site.

In order to understand crowd crush and educate people about its dangers, our group had to study concepts such as crowd surge, when it becomes dangerous, and how to make a safe exit. We read studies by professors who specialize in crowd science and found a way to illustrate their findings in a way that was more approachable to the general public.

This research section also features our initial ideas of how to show high crowd density to our audience. The circles demonstrate the idea of personal space and how a high-density crowd will encroach on that space, leading to possible harm.

Our research also influenced the information text across our website.

The information architecture flow chart demonstrates how users navigate our site. There were modifications made to make the site as simple as possible, but by having a flow to follow we were able to streamline the site and make it as user-friendly as possible for all audiences.
